I found this article on cnn.com to be a great example of how news develops. In class we talked about how news jumps to print (this was posted 22 minutes ago) and then will develop as details are released. What I particularly liked about this article is that the Barbara Starr does a great job of presenting all the facts in a simple manner. Readers are not confused about who, what, when, where and why. As the story develops, it will become laden with details that will help solidify what actually happened, but for right now, I could easily call a friend and say, "Hey did you hear about the US soldier who was sold to an Afghan militant clan?"
