Hey all,
Hope you had a good Fourth of July. I like this trend story in the NY Times about new grads who now have nothing to do because its relevan, I've been through it and the writer gets some great quotes, such as this one from a girl who now works in an amusement park:
“It’s rain or shine,” Ms. McAuliffe said dryly about her job. “You’d be really surprised how many people go to an amusement park in the pouring rain.”
I also wanted to ask: So it is ok to say "said dryly," because "said" is in there, but not "lamented," etc. instead? I've gotten the habit of using "said" and then an adjective and wanted to know what everyone thought....
