I love these two photos, and I think they're important for different reasons.I feel like we're always seeing negative statistics and articles related to African Americans and education, which always bothers me. I like the first photo of the little boy because it belies racial stereotypes and generalizations, actually showing the opposite of what we typically see in the media.
I like the second photo because - aside from being an awesome photo from an aesthetic standpoint - it blends the past with the present. It shows the way in which technology has changed over the decades.
